Shifnal is a private members club, which means the club is owned and run exclusively by and for the members.

Applying for Membership

It is preferred that new member applications are proposed and seconded by two existing club members, however applications are still welcomed if these cannot be provided.

Member Benefits

As a full playing member you get to use the course as often as you like and you can enter club competitions, of which there are many in all categories. You can also use the practice facilities.
Our club house is fully available for your use. Members get a discounted rate on all bar drinks, so you will find the clubhouse makes a very good local! Social events are organised throughout the year - details are posted in the clubhouse.
Men, Ladies, Seniors and Juniors all have their own sections in the club, and will do their best to ensure that you are made welcome and quickly become an active member of the club.
Finally, members are entitled to make use of reciprocal arrangements with other clubs either through the County Book or through the Passport Scheme. Both of these offer substantial discounts over normal visitor rates.

Membership Rates

Clubhouse Levy - £25 payable at the beginning of each year and can be used to purchase drinks at the bar. Not applicable to Juniors and Social members.

* Country membership is available to fully paid-up members of other golf clubs residing outside a 70 mile radius of Shifnal golf club. Country members may not enter for club trophies and are not entitled to vote at club meetings or stand as an officer of the club.

** Student membership is open to persons between their 18th and 25th birthday who are in full-time education.
This membership entitles the holder to all playing privileges.
They shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the club or serve as an Officer of the club or as a member of the Committee.

*** Junior Membership. Open to persons aged below 18 years as at the start of the first of the subscription year. (i.e April 1st each year).
Starting times and competitions are restricted and decided by the Match Committee.
They may enter club competitions, but may not enter sweepstakes.
They shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the club or serve as an Officer of the club or as a member of the Committee.
